Of course. Let’s gently unpack and reframe that belief together.

💭 Step 1: Identify the belief

You often think: “I’m not good enough.”
This usually appears when we compare ourselves to others, fear failure, or expect perfection. It’s a learned belief — not a fact.

🔍 Step 2: Challenge the belief

Ask yourself:

  • Where did I learn this idea? (A past failure, criticism, comparison?)
  • Is there real evidence I’m not good enough — or just moments I struggled?
  • Have I ever done something well, helped someone, or grown in a skill?

You’ll often realize: your “not good enough” moments are temporary setbacks, not proof of your worth.

🌱 Step 3: Reframe the belief

Try replacing it with more balanced, truthful thoughts:

  • “I’m a work in progress — and that’s okay.”
  • “I may not be perfect, but I have strengths and I’m improving.”
  • “My worth isn’t measured by mistakes or others’ opinions.”

💪 Step 4:Reinforce the new mindset

  • Keep a small “proof list” — note 3 things daily that show competence or effort.
  • Practice self-compassion: speak to yourself as you would to a close friend.
  • When the thought appears, say: “This is just an old story — I’m choosing a new one.”

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
