British philosopher Thomas Carlyle called Muhammad (PBUH) “a great deep-hearted son of the desert,” admiring his sincerity, mercy, and “hypocrisy-free nature”.

Edward Ramsey, an American orientalist, noted Muhammad’s (PBUH) reformative role, saying he “restored justice and freedom that were missing from the world,” and praised his ability to enlighten and transform society.
