2️⃣ Innaka ‘Afuwwun
“You are the One who completely pardons.”

3️⃣ Tuhibbul ‘Afwa
“You love forgiveness.”
Allah loves when people seek forgiveness and also forgive others.
4️⃣ Fa‘fu ‘Anni
“So forgive me.”
A direct request asking Allah to wipe away sins.
Why this dua is important
This dua was specifically recommended by the Prophet
Muhammad
when his wife
Aisha bint Abu Bakr
asked what to say if she finds Laylat al-Qadr.
It is recorded in Sunan Ibn Majah.
Why Muslims recite it on Laylat al-Qadr
During Laylat al-Qadr:
Worship is better than 1000 months (mentioned in the Qur’an).
Sins can be forgiven.
Destiny for the year is written.
So Muslims repeat this dua often to seek complete forgiveness and mercy.
✅ Simple way to remember:
This dua is mainly about asking Allah to erase your sins completely.
